We all know Jeremy Scott is not the most standard designer out there. His designs are always crazy, unique and maybe a little weird. His latest is no different. The new sneaker he designed for Adidas contains two handcuffs you’re supposed to wear around the ankles. Even though the sneaker originates from last January, Adidas only recently posted a photo of them on Facebook and so the discussion started.
To some the bright yellow handcuffs might sounds like fun and I have to admit, it looks quite cool. But others say it’s way too offensive and inpired by African slavery. No good of course and so Adidas decided to pull them. Jeremey Scott however claims he got his inspiration for the controversial shoes from a whole other place. According to his PR he designed them after seeing a cartoon, My Pet Monster.
What do you think? Cute or creepy?
